Amp5 is now entering the German market
German EV drivers will soon plug into the Amp5 charging rail. With Eichrecht certification nearing completion and successful market activities behind it, AmpSociety has begun its work to gain market share in Europe’s most important mobility market.
Amp5 is soon completing its certification under Eichrecht, the German calibration law regulating data integrity in EV charging stations. The certification is a requirement for commercial public charging and ensures that metering data is displayed transparently to the user and protected against manipulation, from charging session to payment.
German requirements benefit others too
Far from all manufacturers are prepared to make the investment required to meet these high standards.
“Eichrecht is a mark of quality and an important step towards becoming a viable choice in the German market. Germany simply has higher requirements than other countries. For us, it was a natural step to certify Amp5 as we now expand in Europe. Naturally, it is also beneficial for our customers in other countries,” says Niclas Wennerholm, CEO of AmpSociety.
International expansion
On June 23–26, we will present the Amp5 charging system at the major European mobility trade fair Power2Drive in Munich. This will also be an important part of establishing presence and building relationships.
In addition to its home market Sweden, Amp5 installations are already in place across all Scandinavian countries. Reseller partnerships are now being established in Europe, including in Switzerland, with more to come.
“We already know that interest in our system solution is strong. We look forward to meeting the EV community in Munich and continuing to build relationships across Europe,” says Niclas Wennerholm.
Ready for future requirements
The strict requirements in Germany also make Amp5 a more future-proof investment in other markets.
“We build Amp5 to last and to perform in mature markets with high requirements. Certifying Amp5 for Eichrecht is also a way of future-proofing the product. We know that requirements for metering data and transparency will continue to grow across Europe,” says Niclas Wennerholm, CEO of AmpSociety.
